K. Austin Read, Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder, plays a pivotal role at ACI, overseeing portfolio management, new business origination, and underwriting. Mr. Read is actively engaged in leadership roles on various key committees within the firm, including the investment committee, investment strategy, risk, ESG, and valuation committees. With an extensive background in private credit assets, he has successfully invested over $13 billion across more than 150 deals during his 10+ years in the private credit industry. Notably, Mr. Read has also demonstrated expertise in distressed debt and turnaround investments. Prior to co-founding ACI, he held the position of Vice President at Oak Hill Advisors, a prominent $60 billion alternative asset manager based in NYC, where his focus centered on private credit investing.
